EDUSIMSTEAM: Fostering STEAM Education in Schools
EDUSIMSTEAM is a KA3 Support for Policy Reform project supported under the Erasmus + program. Fostering STEAM Education in Schools project, which aims to collaborate with educational stakeholders and develop innovative policies for the future, aims to raise generations that can use information and communication technologies, transfer their knowledge to other learning environments, and keep up with technological developments. Accordingly, an innovative and multi-disciplinary teacher training framework about STEAM education will be developed, learning scenarios with real-life problems will be prepared, and STEAM learning scenarios presented with simulations on the innovative online platform will be shared with education stakeholders within the scope of the project. In summary, EDUSIMSTEAM Project aims to enable teachers and students at the K-12 level to have knowledge about STEAM education with the help of teacher training programs, innovative online platform, and learning scenarios.
The coordinator of the project is the Ministry of National Education – General Directorate of Innovation and Educational Technologies (Turkey). The project partners from Turkey are Middle East Technical University (METU) and Robotsan. The role of METU in the project is developing STEAM-related learning scenarios. The role of Robotsan in the project is creating the innovative online platform and making simulations on this platform.
Other project partners are Kaunas Technology University (Lithuania), Vilnius University (Lithuania), Blackrock Education Center (Ireland), H2 Learning (Ireland), CTEM Academy (Portugal), Both Social (the Netherlands), and Ministry of Education (Spain).
