Our former director and one of the founding members of the METU BILTEMM Center, Prof. Dr. Erdinç Çakıroğlu, passed away on September 1, 2024.

Prof. Dr. Çakıroğlu, shaped the vision and mission of METU BILTEMM Center while making invaluable contributions to the field of education via leading numerous projects and research initiatives Through his leadership, foresight, wisdom, understanding, and kindness, he became a pioneer of innovative approaches in education (especially, in mathematics education) and dedicated his life to supporting our nation's educators.

In memory of our esteemed professor, a ceremony was held on September 5, 2024, at the Faculty of Education, METU.

We extend our heartfelt condolences and sympathies to Prof. Dr. Erdinç Çakıroğlu's family, loved ones, and the entire education community.

We always remember him with respect, love, and gratitude, and vow to continue where he left off to carry his vision further. May his soul rest in peace.
